Does anyone see a correlation between these chicken "motives" and the happenings in a Singles ward or on the dating scene? After reading about these chickens' motives, it brought back memories of my Singles' ward days and I saw some humorous similarities. (Of course, the chickens are male, DR SUESS clarifies that for us.) I'll give an example of what I'm talking about. RALPH NADER says that the chicken never got to the other side of the road because it was crushed beneath the wheels of a gas-guzzling SUV. Comparing that to an event in a Singles ward, the driver of the SUV had to have been a thirty-something scorned single sister crushing her ex-fiance beneath the wheels of the SUV because he broke their engagement, turned around and immediately became engaged to another sister in the ward who was years younger and prettier than her. Other chickens witnessed this and RUSH LIMBAUGH explains how this event caused chickens to suffer from crossing-the-road-syndrome and support groups were being set up for it. (The broken engagement event really did happen about ten years ago to two different sisters in the Singles Ward I was attending at the time. One of the sisters was dreadfully scorned! During every testimony meeting she'd get up and say stuff to make her ex and his new fiance feel guilty and try to make everyone feel sorry for her. Wait, I remembered one thing incorrectly. It was the sister who actually broke off the engagement and she was very scorned that her ex found someone else so quickly.)
