When I try searching, I never get any results. Does the find feature really work?
Yes, it does work. Usually, to find more results, you just need to leave a few fields blank in the search form.
The most common difficulties are with Compatibility Match search. If you're not finding any results there, check your own Compatibility Profile for the following (to see it, go to your profile and click "Compatibility Profile" near the top on the right-hand side.)
- Make sure the "Preference" ranges are set correctly--with the lower number first and the higher number second. This is easy to catch because if the ranges are set backwards, the bar in the "Preference" column will be wider than for other Attributes.
- If you have set narrow "Preference" ranges for many Attributes (especially those ranked high in Importance), this will reduce the number of matches you find. You can find more results without modifying your preferences using the "relaxed ranges" setting in Compatibility Match search.
- If you have lots of items ranked high in Importance, this will reduce the number of matches you find. You can find more results without modifying your importance settings using the "importance threshold" setting in Compatibility Match search.
